The
Roerich Family Museum and Institute is a non-profit institution of culture
registered by the Registration Chamber of St. Petersburg on May 11, 2001.

The Museum and Institute Main
Goals:
- To provide continuity by revealing, preserving and studying of the
Roerich family heritage, of their contemporaries and cultural environment
- To conduct scientific and artistic mastering of the Roerich heritage,
thus making it popular
- To provide appropriate conditions for wide sharing of the materials
about the Roerich family life and creative activities
- To assist the recreation of the Russian spiritual, cultural and historical
traditions; to strengthen ethics principles in scientific and artistic
creativity and life.
Scientific and educational programmes are developed with the assistance
of St. Petersburg State University; consultancy is provided by the State
Hermitage. All this, as well as collaboration with other city museums,
guarantees the wide range of the Museum and Institute activities, and
lets it function at the level of modern science achievements and museum
management.
The project financial and everyday business support is provided by the
International Charity
Fund "The Roerich Heritage".
